Agile has been characterised by much that is good, but also by method and accreditation wars – putting processes and tools over individuals and interactions. With growing adoption by larger consultancy firms we are seeing increasingly levels of commoditisation to follow on the the pyramid selling schemes and ‘certificates for turning up an paying a fee’ that have started to characterise many of the attempts to scale to the C level in organisations. In this presentation we will use the Cynefin framework to understand the context in which different tools and techniques work, and as importantly, don’t work. What is next for Agile? How do we make its practice into a true profession with a proper mix of theory and practice? These and any other questions you bring will be discussed, some may even be answered.
