About our new site
February 8, 2012
Welcome to the new Cognitve Edge Network website!!!
This has been in the making for over 6 months and is a strategic shift for us. Our business has matured over the last several years and all of us at Cognitive Edge felt that in order to deliver increased value to you, as a member of the Network, we needed to invest in a better business model, website and approach. On this basis we've made some fairly bold decisions. How did we come to make these decisions? Let me me walk you briefly through the process. First we went out and talked with many of you, this included both a broader SenseMaker® study where we sent out a series of questions (last July/August), as well as many one on one Phone/Skype calls. We collected some great anecdotal feedback about:
-
membership in the Network
-
the approach that Cognitive Edge has taken in the marketplace
-
the efficacy and value of the consulting methods (so many wonderful anecdotal stories)
-
where we have perhaps let some of you down
-
what and where we could improve
We very much plan to continue this trend and seek Network feedback and input. That's why there's a permanent feedback button at the bottom left of every screen (Give/Rate Feedback).
So we've decided to make the following strategic decisions:
-
First, the Network business model will undergo a significant change, basic membership will still be available free, provided you agree to provide an email address and sign in with a password. This provides approximately the same level of access to content made available on the previous website. Critically the Methods made available if you attended the Accreditation class over the last several years, are still accessible, as are the blogs, and articles. We've worked to be very sensistive and to support those who have supported us. As you log in and share your email details and create a password, we'll keep the contact details private to us, they will not be shared externally, nor will we "spam" you. We value your joining the Network and hope you can benefit from the content offered with this membership as you apply it to your organisation and work. Basic membership includes a license ot the the available Methods and other intectuall property owned by Cognitive Edge for personal use.
-
We're introducing a new level of membership, we're calling this Full Membership. Full meaning you have "full" access to the new features and content we'll launch with, then progressively publish on a continuous basis. This new membership level has an annual subscription fee of $249. As an introductory offer we'll make this available for the first 3 months at $149. Three months after launch date the price will then revert back to $249. What do you get that's new with this new membership level? More details of this membership level below..
Full Membership Details:
As mentioned above, the Full membership level will provide:
-
A monthly "packet" of new Content, that will include many of the following on a monthly basis: new methods; new concept papers; new Assemblies (combinations of methods targeted at a specific use); new training material
-
On a quarterly basis, either live or recorded videocasts with Dave Snowden and others
-
On an annual basis a discounted ticket(s) to our upcoming Conference (to be announced)
-
10% off the retail price of all seminars and education courses (Instructor led or Online), as you request a promotional code from us.
-
A new "Commercial Use" license permitting you to be able to sell consulting services with Cognitive Edge intellectual property included. Going forward this is the only way you can use the methods. Further details of this are contained in the User Agreement section of the new Network website
Charging what we hope will be seen as a fairly modest fee for this membership will allow us to invest and grow the content and ultimately the vaue to Network members. Please take the time to look through the member stories, to see how others have leveraging the content we have and what impact it has had. Please reach out to us via the "give feedback to improve the Network" button at the bottom left of every page. We look forward to hearing from you.
Again, thanks
