We (Cognitive Edge) would be really grateful if you would be prepared to share your thoughts, fears and hopes about the current state of the world post the financial cris. What are the implications for public service? How will our institutions adapt? What will be important for the public service in the future? What is going to happen to public service anyway?

Help wanted in next twelve hours

We are creating a new public asset with a narrative database on knowledge management. This is linked to upcoming KM conferences and will be prototyped for a month or so before it becomes available to the wider community. Any contributions to the initial design in the next 12 hours (I know, I have been busy, sorry) would be appreciated. You can look at the file (this assumes some knowledge of SenseMaker™ design) or just provide ideas about any of the following:

From the scent of lemons to the odour of decay

My three days of deep intellectual stimulation are over and I have moved from a palace on Lake Garda (see picture) to a Days Inn in Hounslow which is a aesthetic transition of some magnitude. The scent of lemons to a a mixed odour of decay that you get in cheaper London Hotels. I wasn't able to blog from the event today as I had to prepare and give my own presentation which I will summarise in the next few days - I want to put a bit of thought into it, over and above the presentation itself.

Garden project - an invitation

A great opportunity for all of you out there to tell a story about your garden, contribute to tree planing and use the new SenseMaker™ V3.0 Collector and Auditor modules. The project allows you to tell stories about your garden and also to comment on some generic garden types. It's an innovation project which was initiated by Ferro (who have several Cognitive Edge practitioners) in the Netherlands, but is international in scope. Its an open project and one euro will be donated to plant a tree for every contributor so pass this on...
